PH downs Uzbeks, finishes 7th in AVC

(UPDATE) THE Philippine women's volleyball team defeated Uzbekistan in four sets 25-14, 13-25, 25-18, 25-18 to finish seventh in the AVC Challenge Cup at the Tridharma Sports Hall in Gresik, East Java, Indonesia on Sunday, June 25.

The Filipino volleybelles blasted the Uzbeks in the first set, but the latter returned the favor in the second to tie the match at 1-1.
