Atienza receives highest honor for his outstanding contributions to the City of Manila

LITO Atienza, the only three-term mayor of the City of Manila, was recognized for his administration's highly-successful "Buhayin ang Maynila Urban Renewal and Redevelopment Program."

Under "Buhayin ang Maynila," he implemented much-needed reforms within the bureaucracy to speed up the delivery of basic services. He got the support of various sectors and stakeholders such as barangay and community leaders, as well as businesses and NGOs to work together in restoring Manila into a colorful, vibrant and progressive city.
