THE stock market will close the first half with a shortened trading week, which analysts expect to be marked by window-dressing and investors moving to position themselves for the rest of the year.
The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) fell below the 6,400 level last week, closing Friday at 6,393.55 and down 1.76 week on week. The decline was attributed to the US Federal Reserve's doubling down on the likelihood of fresh interest rate hikes.
