Life insurers post first quarter growth

LIFE insurance companies recorded an increase in total assets, net worth and paid-up capital in the first three months of this year, the Insurance Commission (IC) reported late on Friday.

According to unaudited Quarterly Reports on Selected Financial Statistics from 33 life insurance firms, their total assets, net worth and paid-up capital increased in the first quarter of the current year compared to the same period last year.
