THE acting head of the Albay Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC) reported that there were no casualties from the eruption of Mayon Volcano, but evacuation centers were nearing their capacity level.

Speaking in a recorded video interview with The Manila Times, Albay PDRRMC officer in charge Eugene Escobar said the 34 evacuation centers in the province currently have 5,708 families, composed of 19,959 individuals, most of whom are living within the volcano's 6-kilometer permanent danger zone.
