Businesses more upbeat; consumers still pessimistic

BUSINESS optimism rose in the second quarter but consumer sentiment remained negative, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) reported on Friday.

Both were upbeat about the third quarter and the next 12 months but the optimism was lower compared to three months earlier, the central bank also said.
