DOSTv presents science docu-series in Cinematheque: 'Saving the Tawilis'

IMMERSE yourself and dive for knowledge as DOSTv: Science for the People and Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) bring you six short films that feature the science of everything 'under the sea'. Starting this June 14, here are the following movies you can watch for free at FDCP's Cinematheque Centres in Manila, Davao, Iloilo, Negros, and Nabunturan.

Tawilis is one of the Filipinos' favorite freshwater sardines and is endemic only to Tagaytay. However, due to overconsumption and water pollution, the species has become vulnerable and is now considered endangered. This film tackles how Tawilis can be grown off-site using science, technology, and innovation. DOST
