THE Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) said that it has increased its coverage of dialysis for kidney patients from 90 to 156 sessions, starting June 22, 2023.

'The 156 sessions are in accordance with the current standards of hemodialysis of three sessions per week for a total of 52 weeks, which is equivalent to one whole year. With the expansion of dialysis coverage, patients now can avail of P405,600 per year or around P2,600 for each session,' said PhilHealth Acting Vice President of Corporate Affairs Group Rey Baleña.
