JUAN Luna's long-lost painting, "Hymen, oh Hyménée!," is now on exhibit at the Ayala Museum until Dec. 31, 2023. The painting was last seen in public 132 years ago. It is considered the holy grail of Philippine art.
In 1899, Luna entered the Exposition Universelle with "Hymen, oh Hyménée!," the groundbreaking World's Fair held in Paris celebrating the 100th year of the French Revolution. It was here that Luna won a bronze medal for his entry.
