THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) on Wednesday is pushing for the expeditious passage of Senate Bill 1808, or the "Internet Transaction Act (ITA)," to further protect the online consumers, and reminds businesses and online sellers to comply with existing rules and regulations.
The ITA seeks to place mechanisms to safeguard merchants and consumers during online transactions such as the Online Business Registry and the e-commerce Philippine Trustmark to adhere to all applicable laws and regulations in the Philippines.
