Peso up anew but PSEi barely moves

THE peso gained for a second day against the dollar, but the stock market ended the day flat due to a lack of catalysts.

The currency strengthened by 22 centavos to P55.52:$1 while the benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) shed 1.44 points, or 0.02 percent, to end the day at 6,448.90.
