King Charles 3rd saddles up for birthday parade

London: Trooping the Color, the annual military parade to mark the British sovereign's official birthday, takes place on Saturday, with King Charles 3rd inspecting troops on horseback.

The colorful display of regimental precision and pageantry is the first of 74-year-old Charles's reign, and also the first time a ruling monarch will ride at the event since his mother Queen Elizabeth 2nd in 1986.
