P57.6M in govt aid released to evacuees

(UPDATE) THE national government has provided P57.6 million worth of assistance to victims of the Mayon Volcano eruption, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Saturday.

Of the amount, P43 million came from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), P7 million from the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), P38,300 from the local government units (LGUs), P2.6 million from nongovernment organizations (NGOs), and P1 million from other government partners.
