THE Manila Times Publishing Corp. has joined a program aimed at exploring reader-revenue models for publishers who are looking to diversify their income streams and earn revenue directly from readers such as launching subscriptions or membership propositions.

Aside from The Times, ABS-CBN and the Philippine Daily Inquirer are the two other participants from the Philippines of the first edition of the Google News Initiative (GNI) Digital Revenue Launchpad (DRL) in Southeast Asia, delivered through a partnership between Google and FT Strategies.
