THE Public Attorney's Office (PAO) has tied up with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), National Housing Authority (NHA) and Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTFoMS) primarily to extend free legal services to indigent Filipinos and members of the press.
PAO chief Persida Rueda-Acosta, in an interview with The Manila Times on Friday, said they had forged a memorandum of agreement with the three government agencies whose top officials have approached PAO in their bid to help them provide free legal assistance to the newsmen and the poor.
