DEPARTMENT of Information and Communications Technology Secretary Ivan John Uy and GSIS President Jose Arnulfo Veloso signed a Memorandum of Agreement on June 13, 2023, that will protect the privacy of personal data of GSIS members and pensioners as the pension fund actively pursues digitalization initiatives. The MOA signing, which was conducted during the Digital Governance Week of the National ICT Month 2023, aims to facilitate secure data sharing for the development of efficient and quality digital services for GSIS stakeholders. In signing the MOA, the DICT, and GSIS commit to upholding the rights of data subjects and promoting privacy throughout the data-sharing process, pursuant to the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and the guidelines set by the National Privacy Commission.
