SULFUR dioxide (SO2) emission and rockfall events at Mayon Volcano have increased in the last 24 hours, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said on Friday that the Mayon Volcano continues to emit sulphur dioxide (SO2).
Phivolcs chief Teresito "Toto" Bacolcol said that a total of 13 pyroclastic density currents (PDCs) or "uson'" 307 rock fall events and four volcanic earthquakes were recorded as compared with three PDCs, 306 rock fall events and two volcanic tremors on June 15.
