Rizal escapes with 82-78 win vs Bicol in MPBL

Rizal XentroMall found Bicol tough to crack and settled for a scrambling 82-78 victory on Thursday, June 15, in the OKBet-Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Season 5 at the Bren Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando, Pampanga.

Although the Golden Coolers surged ahead, 64-52, in the third quarter, the Volcanoes never gave up and threatened up to the last 10 seconds of the game when they cut the team's deficit to only two points, 78-80, after Jason Tan canned the first of his two free throws.
