THE peso edged up by a centavo on Wednesday, but the stock market fell back to 6,400 territory on the likelihood that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will pause from tightening this week.
The currency closed at P55.94 to the dollar while the benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) shed 73.20 points, or 1.12 percent, to close the day at 6,434.06.
