WITH the problem of human trafficking becoming more and more alarming, the Department of Justice (DoJ) is looking into the possibility of using artificial intelligence (AI) to help combat the recurring problem of human trafficking cases.

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla said on Wednesday that modern technology like the AI can be used in profiling travelers to curb human smuggling cases in the country as a countermeasure against human traffickers who also continue to innovate their schemes to circumvent existing anti-trafficking measures.
