(UPDATE) THE Philippine National Police (PNP) and the National Police Commission (Napolcom) filed criminal charges against 50 police officers, including two former generals, for their alleged involvement in the cover-up of the 990 kilos of shabu worth an estimated P6.7 billion seized from a now-dismissed policeman in October 2022.

In a press briefing held at the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Napolcom Center in Quezon City on Tuesday, Interior Secretary Benjamin 'Benhur' Abalos Jr. said the cases were filed before the Office of the Ombudsman on Friday, June 9, 2023.
