SUROY-SUROY guests witnessed the Hinulawan Festival showdown in Toledo City, a fitting finale for the tourism caravan's midwest exploration.Gov. Gwen Garcia, during her customary end-of-tour speech, announced that Capitol will allocate subsidy for the staging of this year's festival showcase: P500,000 to each of the 10 contingents and another P3 million for the Toledo City Government.This is on top of another P7 million subsidy for the seven LGUs in Midwest Cebu that participated and made the Suroy-Suroy Sugbo Explore the Midwest a resounding success.These LGUs that receive P1 million each are the midwestern towns of Tabuelan, Tuburan, Asturias, Aloguinsan, Pinamungajan, Balamban, and Toledo City.
