Lexus unveils all-new LBX hybrid crossover

FURTHER expanding its crossover offering, Lexus officially held the world premiere of the all-new Lexus LBX in Milan, Italy. Set as the smallest Lexus ever, the brand's latest compact crossover offering is Lexus' gateway to its electrified lineup.

Powered by a Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) system, the all-new Lexus LBX is powered by a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine that is mated to a single electric motor. This internal-combustion-engine-and-electric-motor combination is rated to output 134 hp 136 lb-ft of torque delivered to the front wheels. Powering the electric motor is a nickel-metal-hydride battery that was first used in the all-new Lexus RX.
