WASHINGTON, D.C.: United States President Joe Biden's administration says the US will rejoin the United Nations' educational agency after a five-year absence that began during his predecessor Donald Trump's term.

The US State Department said it had delivered a letter seeking readmission to the Paris-based UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) late last week.
