Harvest before Mayon big bang, farmers told

TABACO CITY, Albay: Amando Bon, 53, father of five, vegetable farmer from Barangay Buang Tabaco City, rushed to harvest the squash from his three hectares of farmland within the 6-kilometer permanent danger zone (PDZ) of restive Mayon Volcano on Saturday afternoon, June 10, 2023.

He started to harvest the squash on Friday after Tabaco City Mayor Krisel Lagman-Luistro gave the green light for farmers to harvest their crops before the expected big bang.
