THE Pasig-Marikina River and the Cagayan River basin are the priority flood control projects to be funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said.
Public Works Senior Undersecretary Emil Sadain and Disaster Risk Reduction Global Environment Department Deputy Director General Hosokawa Yukinari signed over the weekend the agreement for the projects following a series of discussions between the JICA, DPWH and other concerned government agencies.
