THE Northern Luzon Command of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, through the Naval Forces Northern Luzon (NFNL), will hold on Monday, June 12, simultaneous flag-raising ceremonies at the Bajo de Masinloc (Scarborough Shoal) in the West Philippine Sea and the Philippine Rise as part of the celebration of the country's 125th Independence Day.

Lt. Zachary Sinsuan, acting NFNL Public Affairs Officer, said two Philippine Navy vessels -- an off-shore Combat Patrol Vessel and Sealift Amphibious Force vessel BRP Waray (LC288) -- will also conduct synchronized patrols in these areas.
