Dear PAO,
My sister filed a case against her former employer. One of her former co-workers posted their old photos on social media, which generated nostalgia, but also eventually led my sister to disclose in that post that she filed a case and that it has been ongoing for a couple of years now. One person commented there that she should not have disclosed that because it is supposed to be 'sub judice' and she can be held in contempt. Is there such a rule? Can my sister really be penalized if she merely stated that the case has been ongoing for a couple of years now, which is actually true? I reviewed her statement, and there is nothing more than just saying that. Can my sister's legal counsel also refuse to post on their social media account about how the case has been dragging on for years now, to sort of insinuate that the justice system is very slow, as in the case of my sister? He said that his firm would rather not do that and just focus on the case itself.
