TOTAL premiums collected by microinsurance companies in 2022 climbed 14 percent to P11.53 billion from P10.12 billion a year ago on increasing people's awareness of the importance of having affordable insurance products.
"The increase in collected premiums and the number of insured lives to the increasing public awareness of the necessity of having affordable insurance products," the Insurance Commission (IC) said in a statement over the weekend.
