(UPDATE) PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. vowed to further improve the quality of jobs in the Philippines following the drop of the country's unemployment rate in April.

"The number of employed Filipinos rose to 48.06 million this April. This is a big opportunity to strive harder to create quality jobs that we could offer to our countrymen," Marcos said in a statement.
