Ilocos intensifies anti-rabies drive

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan: Because of the increasing number of rabies cases in Region 1 (Ilocos Region) in the past few weeks, a health official on Wednesday urged residents to have their pets vaccinated to protect themselves from getting rabies.

In a press statement, Department of Health (DoH) Ilocos Regional Director Paula Paz Sydiongco said that it is the responsibility of pet owners to have their pets immunized against rabies every year.
