Meralco rates up in June

THE Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) on Friday announced an increase of P0.4183 per kilowatt hour (kWh) in the electricity rates this month, bringing the overall rate for a typical household to P11.9112 per kWh from the previous month's P11.4929 per kWh.

In a statement, Meralco said this translates to an increase of P84 in the power bill for residential households consuming 200 kWh.
