LINGAYEN, Pangasinan: Some 87 percent or 2,829 of the 3,267 villages in the Ilocos Region have been declared "drug-cleared" and "drug-free" as of last month, an official of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said here on Thursday, June 8, 2023.
Joel Plaza, PDEA Ilocos regional director, also said the remaining 13 percent or 438 drug-affected barangay (villages) in the region are now the focus of operations of various government agencies.
