TYPHOON "Chedeng" (international name: Guchol) has slightly intensified but remains far from the Philippine landmass as it may exit the country's area of responsibility either Sunday or Monday, the state-run weather agency said on Friday.
Weather specialist Benison Estareja of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) told a 5 a.m. press briefing that Chedeng, the third storm to enter the country this year, is unlikely to directly bring heavy rainfall over the country in the next three to five days.
