Legazpi City: The provincial government of Albay will enforce the evacuation of residents living inside the six-kilometer permanent danger zone after the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) raised the alert status of the restive volcano from level 2 to level 3 on Thursday, June 8.
This was announced by Cedric Daep, chief of Albay Public Safety Emergency Management Office (Apsemo), after Phivolcs raised the alert status of Mayon Volcano to level 3 at noon.
