TO make voting convenient for senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs), Sen. Cynthia Villar filed a bill which seeks to give them the option to vote earlier than the date set for the election.

Under Senate Bill 2239, Villar proposed that for national and local elections, there shall be an early voting where qualified senior citizens and PWDs may choose to cast their ballot at accessible establishments designated by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) within seven working days before the actual election date.
