Teachers get 'spoiled' rice

ALLIANCE of Concerned Teachers (ACT) Party-list Rep. Francisca 'France' Castro said on Wednesday that teachers from Nueva Ecija, Mindoro, Bacolod City, Zamboanga del Norte, Marinduque, IloIlo and General Santos informed her that the rice allowance they received was rotten and inedible.

Public school teachers are given a one-time rice allowance in fulfillment of Administrative Order 2 signed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Dec. 16, 2022.
