CANBERRA: Employers in Australia who are caught exploiting their migrant workers could face penalties under new measures as part of a crackdown the government announced on Monday to better protect temporary visa holders.
This comes a month after a report published by the think tank Grattan Institute said one in six recent migrants to Australia is paid less than the minimum wage.
