The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Monday it is monitoring a low pressure area (LPA) spotted off Eastern Visayas outside the country's area of responsibility.
It said that the LPA located east of Visayas will likely escalate into a tropical cyclone by the middle of the week.
