Abalos: Surprise, random drug testing at DILG

INTERIOR and Local Government Secretary Benjamin 'Benhur' Abalos Jr. has ordered surprise, random drug-testing be conducted among DILG staff and its attached agencies as part of the department's Buhay Ingatan, Droga'y Ayawan (BIDA) Program.

'We're going to implement this because it's very important. For the longest time, the focus of our drug campaign is supply reduction. So through the BIDA program, we will now address the demand side of the problem,' Abalos said on Saturday.
