TOKYO: The United States and Japan are working to modernize their military alliance in the face of threats from China, North Korea and Russia, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said on Thursday.
Austin is in Japan's capital Tokyo on a brief trip for bilateral talks before heading to the Shangri-La Dialogue defense summit in Singapore.
