SEVERAL senators have expressed support for the call to seek a refund on unfinished projects of the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP).
"I have been pushing for a refund since the 18th Congress when we discovered NGCP's unconscionable greed with its reward payouts, tax breaks and high returns because of its high 'Weighted Average Cost of Capital'. Imposing penalties can be in the form of a refund or stocks that consumers own," Sen. Ana Theresia "Risa" Hontiveros said in a statement.
