FORMER Social Welfare Secretary Erwin Tulfo cannot sit yet as representative of party-list group Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support (ACT-CIS) in Congress pending a final ruling from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) en banc on his disqualification case.
This surfaced after lawyer Moises Tolentino Jr., the petitioner in the Tulfo disqualification case, filed a motion for reconsideration (MR) seeking to reverse an earlier ruling by the Comelec Second Division, which dismissed the disqualification case against the former DSWD secretary for lack of jurisdiction.
