SEN. Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go urged the Department of Health (DoH) to ensure equitable health care access for underserved communities, such as the Pag-asa Island in the West Philippine Sea (WPS).
The senator made the appeal to improve access to health services and personnel in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDAs) saying these rural areas and islands with limited infrastructure and resources "often struggle to attract and retain skilled health care professionals."
