ORGANIZED labor threw its support behind the call of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for the renewal of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the Philippines and the European Union (EU), which is set to expire this year.
The Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (TUCP), the country's biggest labor group, said on Monday the renewal of the FTA as well as of the EU Generalized Scheme of Preference Plus (GSP+) is a "win-win" for employers and workers because it would mean more decent employment opportunities and ease in finding jobs.
