HEALTH Officer in Charge Maria Rosario Vergeire has discussed the government's moves on containing the socioeconomic impact of the coronavirus pandemic, gaps in health care, and international recruitment of health care workers during the World Health Assembly at the World Health Organization (WHO) headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

In her speech to fellow global health leaders, Vergeire said the country worked to resolve some of the country's long standing health issues, including the impact of the pandemic on the economy.
