DA boosts Davao's bamboo industry

TO increase the productivity of the bamboo industry, the Department of Agriculture-11 (DA-11) turned over the P20 million Upscaling Bamboo Rural Enterprise and Development (Bread) Project to the Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) in Matanao, Davao del Sur.

Bread Project intends to upscale the bamboo industry in Davao Region by promoting, producing, and processing engineered bamboo as a substitute for the diminishing wood lumber industry in the country.
