Quezon City fire chief in hot water for allowing media into fire scene

INTERIOR Secretary Benjamin 'Benhur' Abalos Jr. on Tuesday directed the Bureau of Fire Protection to investigate the alleged lapses in protocol committed by the fire marshal of Quezon City during a fire incident that resulted in the death of a retired police general on May 17.

'We care deeply for the mental well-being and privacy of all survivors. Rest assured that we will investigate this matter thoroughly, and we will impose the proper sanctions where warranted,' Abalos said in a statement.
