(UPDATE) THE accreditation of the Kilusan ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino (KNP) as a new political party that would support the programs of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is set for approval by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia said on Tuesday that the en banc has taken jurisdiction over the petition for accreditation filed by Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez in the absence of any opposition, either in a letter or personal appearance, during its hearing.
