DSWD prepares for approaching typhoon

DEPARTMENT of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rexlon 'Rex' Gatchalian instructed the agency's field offices to preposition more family food packs (FFPs) and other relief supplies to areas along the expected path of an approaching super typhoon.

Typhoon 'Mawar' (international name) was still outside of the Philippine Area of Responsibility, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said. It may enter the country on Friday.
